Raglin Ragdoll Cattery
has
retired from breeding
I will leave this
website up for a while so that
potential Ragdoll kitten buyers can familiarise themselves
with what to look for in a reputable breeder and
healthy Ragdoll kittens
You might find
this
article
interesting -
but do make sure that when you find a
"bargain priced" Ragdoll kitten
that it is
really a bargain. In other words ...
do your homework!
Don't be fooled by "it
is too expensive to register kittens".
Registrations are as low as R20.00!
If you are paying R5500,00 plus for your purebred registered
Ragdoll kitten,
make sure that your kitten has received at least two sets of
core vaccinations and has been sterilised prior to getting
it.
That is a fair price for a medium hair breed from a
reputable registered breeder
on condition that you get all of the above included in the
price
Carol :
Very sad to hear this news, I would not want to adopt from
any other breeder after adopting from you! I am so happy to
that I came to know of you and am so grateful for the most
adorable babies that I have. My little treasure chests,
they mean the world to me! You are so incredibly
special, I wish you all the happiness you so deserve! Thank
you for enriching my life with the most precious bundles of
love, they bring us endless joy and we marvel at their
beauty every day!
Sharon : I know it's been a tough decision and I know you
have spent endless nights thinking this over. Yes, there
will be lots of not too happy potential buyers, your kittens
are after all "the best of the best" and you as a breeder
are surely one of the most dedicated to your cats and
kittens! That all said I respect your decision although I
must admit I am so glad that I found you before you retired
because I now have the two most wonderful kittens in the
world!!! Linn it has been an honour to know you, not only as
the Boys' Mom but also a friend
Patti :
What can I say, I am quite devastated, I saw your email as I
was going to bed last night and just felt so sad that I
couldn’t reply there and then. I know that you have
been thinking about this for a while but guess that everyone
(myself included), secretly hoped, for purely selfish
reasons that this would not happen. You guys are an
institution! What will the Ragdoll community do without
their Linn and Robert to always be there for them and to
give us such wonderful advice on anything that we need to
know regarding our precious little bundles that we got from
you. I have so enjoyed all your photo shoots but the ones
that have always touched my heart are the ones of your
amazing cats, kittens etc., and I will really miss them and
sharing in their birth (by your wonderful photos), as they
grow to just before leaving the nest! Do you realise that
my two are now 8 years old and it seems like we have known
you forever and shared many wonderful times (some sad too),
of your beautiful Ragdolls, and to think that there will be
no more babies to look forward to, is just awful. You are
very special to a lot of us. Thank you for letting us share
so much with you, it has been an amazing experience and
something that I will always cherish
Annie :
I am really sorry to hear this. Thank you so much for
Molz and Thomas - they are my gorgeous children and we both
love them so much
Sunet :
This is a big loss for the Ragdoll breed
Niekie : It
is sad to hear and a great loss
Charles : Even though we expected this news it is still so
sad to get it
Nats : That is the saddest news of the decade! We are so
blessed to be the proud owners of one of Raglin's finest
Andre : Oh Linn, I'm so sad to hear this. I was always
hoping to get a last Bicolour from you!
Tarryn : Wow Linn! This has been a huge decision for you I'm
sure!
Helen : This is so very sad. You have done such a fantastic
job breeding these cats over the years, you can really feel
a sense of achievement. You have been such a wonderful,
ethical breeder – my recent experience is a sad
demonstration that not all breeders are in the same category
Petra :
This is never an easy decision but sometime necessary and
“brave”. You are a true legend and your babies will
bring joy to many people for many years to come
Charline : it is a great
loss that you are retiring now
Marie-Louise : I am so
sorry to hear this. Linn, thank you for what you have done
to the Ragdoll breed in this country. You have made the
breed well know and well loved. You are highly regarded
among breeders because of your high standards when it comes
to adopting and caring for the cats
Suzanne : I just wanted
to thank you again for our beautiful baby . He brings so
much joy to our life every day! Words can’t express how much
we adore our little baby
Leanne : Very sad to
hear this…
Rosemary : So sorry to
hear that! It is a big pity as I will miss seeing pics of
those cute chocolate box kittens
Vivian : Sad to hear
this but it is a decision all of us breeders have to make at
some stage
Lynette : My goodness,
what a shock to see your news …
Athylle : Wow that is a
big decision you have made and I am sure the right one for
you. I wish you luck in the new chapter in your life
Brenda : Well you know
how I feel about this :-(
Natasha : It is a very
sad day for the Ragdoll breed in South Africa
Carol : A momentous
decision and a sad loss for the Ragdolls in South Africa
Diane : This is such sad
news. I just want to say that I am so grateful to you for
allowing me to adopt my two beautiful babies. They have
brought so much love and happiness into our home and it is
all thanks to you
Margo : It is rather sad
to think no more cute kittens running around when I visit
you. I think you gave it a good go and your reputation
speaks for itself
Sharon : I am so sad to
be reading this... I cannot begin to imagine the
responsibility and dedication that goes with running such a
fine cattery. My kitties are so healthy and so well adjusted
and this is because of their good breeding and having had
such exceptional care when they were babies in your home
Eliz : I can imagine
this to be a hard decision, but when you have the best
interest of the cat and yourself at heart, this is the way
to go. You can feel proud of what you've accomplished over
the years for your breed
Leatitia : Dit is baie
hartseer. Ek is nou eers bly dat ek vir Saartjie
en Kerneels het en dat ek die voorreg gehad het om twee
van Raglin se katjies kon aanneem
Vanessa : Sorry to hear
you are retiring from the breeding world. It certainly
will be a huge loss
Judy : There will be
many heartbroken owners and potential owners of your
wonderful kittens/cats. From Dave and I we can only express
our grateful thanks to you and Robert for your absolute
kindness in giving Debbie Chupps at a time when she most
desperately needed something special in her life. Chupps has
added a very special dimension to Debbie's life and I have
to say is loved as dearly by Andy as Debbie - so needless to
say a truly loved cat. I am sure it has taken much thought
with you vacillating between giving it up and carrying on
depending on where you are in the cycle with kittens and the
enormous amount of work they have entailed
Jules : Well I am sure
it is a good decision for you guys but it is sad for us to
hear. When I told Mark, he said “Oh no! What if we want
another one?” We love our Ragdolls to bits and they are such
characters and give us such joy. Thank you for our babies
